Whether you're feeling blue, depressed, find your relationships are suffering, or are grappling with issues that seem insurmountable, counselling psychotherapy can be a method of regaining your peace of mind. The good news is that all the answers you require are already within you, it may be that you just need some help in getting to them.

Do you want to resolve your challenges with...?

  • relationship problems at home or work
  • separation or divorce
  • shared parenting or conflict with an ex-partner
  • adapting to change in your life
  • anxiety, depression or dark moods
  • grief or loss
  • finding meaning and purpose in life
  • a sense of entrapment

You don't need to suffer alone, take the first step toward a better future right now.

Counselling is a proven way of getting life on track, it is a personal trainer and doctor for your mind. With a counsellor's help you can:

  • Enjoy better mental health
  • Improve or successfully manage difficult relationships
  • Experience more joy in life
  • Overcome challenges
  • Increase your productivity
  • Become more fulfilled
  • Discover a renewed sense of purpose
  • Be more successful in life

I was educated at the Universities of York, Oxford and Stirling and I continually educate myself further. I like to provide thoughtful, analytical and compassionate help for those requiring  counselling.  I have studied Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, Gestalt therapy, existential therapy, Carl Rogers, CBT and more. I employ the appropriate approach with each client, not limited to one approach for all as we are all unique. You can be sure of a warm and compassionate experience which values your innate ability to progress and overcome obstacles. Before you step through my door, I already know that your mind has the power to not only correct and heal, but to propel you forward into a more fulfilling life.

My friend and mentor, Gerard Egan, author of 'The Skilled Helper', is the inspiration for establishing a counselling practice.

How to Approach Counselling (I'm looking at you men)

If you have never worked with a counsellor before, it may seem a little daunting, but it is really quite easy. You may be the sort who likes to dive right in, in which case you can book an online chat right away. However, if you're feeling uncertain, then just start a conversation with me by sending me an email - cassian@goodthoughts.uk . The counselling process is always entirely in your control. Men especially feel that they should be able to cope with everything without help, that's why we don't ask for directions! But we men need to think of counselling as mental workout, just like we go to the gym for fitness, our mind needs just as much training. So get in touch and come and hit the psychological punchbag with me.

Why not book an initial conversation with me to see if you think it is right for you. If you feel it is right, then you can decide to proceed, if not then you have absolutely no obligation. Or if you wish, simply drop me a line via the chat box and I will answer any questions you may have.

Initial 15 minute chat - free

Remote or in-person available.

If you are in particular need and can not afford to pay, drop me a chat message and if I have any capacity I may be able to help.
